On Rev. Martin Luther King’s Birthday Holiday, a Palestinian  spokesperson might well want to draw world public attention to King’s 1967 New York sermon ‘Beyond Vietnam – a Time to Break Silence’ [1] when Martin Luther King, today the only American celebrity with the distinction of a national weekend holiday to honour his birthday, made bold print headlines in newspapers across the world of King loudly denouncing his very own U.S. government..

Why Palestinians?

Firstly, because the U.S. provides the warplanes, weapons and munitions that has made possible the genocide of already 23,000 captive Palestinians under military occupation in Gaza, most of whom are women and children

According The Times of Israel, December 25, 2023, two hundred and forty-four US transport planes and 20 ships have delivered more than 10,000 tons of armaments and military equipment to Israel since October 7.

Secondly, the same CIA-overseen Western media[2] that has for 57 years completely blacked out all memory of King’s 1967 ‘Beyond Vietnam’ New York Sermon, while constantly featuring King’s earlier ‘I Have a Dream speech’ instead, is the same CIA-overseen Western media that continually seeks to justify the massive genocidal annihilation and starvation of Palestinians in Gaza with ever new claims of astonishing atrocities carried out by Palestinian ‘bloodthirsty savages’ on October 7.

Palestinians exposing U.S. Media Black Out of American Hero King’s Attack on his Own Government’s Atrocity Wars, Could Cause U.S. and Western Media to Lose Credibility Regarding Israel’s ‘War’ on its Very Own Captive Palestinians

(How strange it is that the African-American community has either openly or indifferently been supportive of white racist regime change, imperialist bombings, invasions and bloody occupations in small nations of people whose skin colour is of various hues, because King condemned those wars as “atrocity wars and covert violence on three continents since 1945 to maintain unjust predatory investments in countries overseas,”) (What If young African-Americans became aware of criminal mainstream media’s 57 Year Blackout of King’s Condemnation of US Wars.)

Thirdly, because superpower America’s powerful media has defended Israel’s illegal, often murderous, generations long military occupation of Palestinians, tightly incarcerating the Gaza Strip in isolation from the rest of the world and denying the West Bank its water rights. U.S. has used it’s veto in the UN Security Council and voting No on 75 UN General Assembly resolutions to prevent criticisms of Israel denying Palestinians even the most basic human rights, while colonising the West Bank with 70 thousand violence prone settlers with their own restricted roads.

Fourthly, because a glance at the list of recent and ongoing genocidal wars in Palestinian vicinity in Somalia, Libya, Iraq, Syria and Lebanon by a solid U.S.-Israeli alliance again brings to mind what King clearly described what U.S.wars are meant to accomplish.“atrocity wars and covert violence…to maintain unjust predatory investments in countries overseas,”)

The very creation of the State of Israel, a super armed outpost of Europeans useful for U.S. maintaining its investments in the midst of the oil producing nations of the Middle East, was brought about by Anglo-American machinations and a never intended to happen illegal partition stratagem forced through a yet tiny UN that torched the British Mandate into a genocidal war awaited by well prepared armed Revisionist Zionist terrorists.[3] (Rev. King, like most people, given the mainstream slanted coverage, was probably unaware of neither America’s role in arranging the civil war, nor perhaps the extent of the unfair suffering and disastrous outcome for the Palestinian majority population of the British Mandate.)

However, here we can read what King said about Israel having conquered so many Palestinians and so much of the Palestinians land just two months after his blistering ‘Beyond Vietnam – a Time to Break Silence’ New York City sermon.

In the summer of 1967, King was planning a monumental trip to Israel, intending to preach at the Mount of Olives and pray with thousands in Jerusalem and Galilee. This would be his “Moses moment,” leading Black people to the Promised Land.

But just before his planned arrival, Israel launched the Six-Day War against Egypt, Syria, and Jordan, which killed about 800 Israelis and around 18,000 Arabs in two weeks. gaining territory the entirety of Jerusalem and Gaza Strip, West Bank, and the Sinai peninsula, four times the amount of land it had before.

This series of unfortunately-timed events would lead King to come under pressure to take a public stance on the Six-Day War. On June 18, 1967,  On ABC Sunday’s TV “Issues and Answers”, King said,

“I think for the ultimate peace and security of the situation it will probably be necessary for Israel to give up this conquered territory because to hold on to it will only exacerbate the tensions and deepen the bitterness of the Arabs.”

King’s powerful insight reveals his belief in what was key to achieving peace in the Middle East.

(While the enduring question of what King might have thought and said today will continue to be the subject of present-day debates, in this instance, we can let the civil rights leader speak for himself in his last words as quoted in the paragraph above.)

Post Script

If some salient voice could point out to the criminal media mesmerised world, that the government of the United States of America was condemned as the most violent in the world by America’s own idol, civil rights leader Martin Luther King, this writer believes it would be a sensation, and a most difficult moment for the U.S. government and America’s wars supporting mainstream media – which has for 57 years totally suppressed all mention of King’s condemnation of his government’s wars to protect predatory investments.

Chapter Seventeen – A Criminal UN Partition Igniting Civil War    – Partition Stratagem Provoked Civil War in British Occupied Palestine, an Archetypical Colonial Crime Against Humanity, a Programed Murderous Aftermath of the Multi-nation Holocaust of European Jews

What uncomfortable realisation of the enormity of American and European society’s complicity in the Holocaust there was, formed a backdrop for additional basic business considerations entertained by many of the same influential U.S. politicians beholden to Wall Street’s war investment avarice and economic crime in rearming Germany. Highly placed villainous capitalist gangsters saw an imperialist opportunity to make racist use of the plight of a quarter million ‘undesirable’ Jewish Holocaust survivors to create a client colony of armed Europeans in the midst of oil rich Muslim countries.

The Insidious Torching of the Holy Land into a Desired Permanent Genocidal Conflagration

Anglo-American power over an incipient United Nations of only 56 nations, produced a genocidal stratagem of torching the Holy Land with a phoney, never expected nor intended to be implemented resolution for a crazy quilt partition of Palestine into seven non-contiguous areas; the Arab areas entirely non-contiguous; the Jewish areas contiguous by a thread; its major area containing more Arabs than Jews, was meant to provoke a civil war prepared for and expected by the Colonial Powers supported revisionist Zionists leadership. See map of the UN resolution for partition:[232]

The amended draft resolution embodying the Plan of Partition was adopted by a vote of twenty-five in favour, thirteen against, with seventeen abstentions, (25 in favour versus 32 against, abstaining or absent)

More than a year before this civil war producing vote, Albert Einstein made headlines in the New York Times, EINSTEIN URGES UNITED NATIONS RUN PALESTINE, February 15, 1946

A government in Palestine under the UN’s direct control and a constitution assuring Jews’ and Arab’ security against being outvoted by each other would solve the Jewish-Arab difficulties.”
