It would seem Sanders fighting for Americans to have free health care and free education would have tempered his words about a Gaddafi who saw to his people receiving for many years what Bernie wants for Americas. Meanwhile, Hillary Clinton and the pro status quo Republican candidates opposing her are perhaps already an anachronism, i.e., persons with practices that belongs to an earlier time.
Investors speculating in extremely profitable but illegal and genocidal use of the nation’s Armed Forces, secret services, sanctions and a media cartel that controls 98% of all print and electronic information, run the United States, and for their intents and purposes, almost all of the rest of the planet. However, from sources within that two per cent of information that is beyond the control of a monstrously criminal monolithic media, we learn that sixty-two of these speculating investors have wealth equal to the wealth owned by one half of the world’s population. Often such incriminating information is provided in braggadocio by overconfident criminals, as when Secretary of State Hillary Clinton openly sought credit for the assassination of Muammar Gaddafi, quipping in laughter upon her arrival in Tripoli as a conqueror, “We came, we saw, he died” paraphrasing a famous brag of Roman Emperor Julius Caesar.
Monolithic Western (US) media, powerful throughout the world through satellite connection, convinced perhaps as much as billion viewers that Muammar Gaddafi was a “brutal murdering dictator.” The fascination with modern technology that brings people to trust what they hear and see, or think they heard and saw on the miracle of television, even should they remember how they were lied to, now that preposterous lies during America’s genocidal Vietnam War and Invasion of Iraq are fairly well-known.
In the case of Libya’s lighting destruction by US NATO war planes and war ships and funded terrorists, the twenty-four hour ‘coverage’ of what US-wars-promoting CNN and Qatar’s Al Jazeera cleverly saw fit to present, was immediately seconded by impartiality pretending Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International, reporting as if the their writers eye-witnessed a ‘mowing down of countless innocent protestors seeking democracy,’ who however, heavily armed, quickly took over Benghazi and many towns and airports. Simultaneously, Left-credentialed CIA assets like Democracy Now, Znet, and others vilified Gaddafi in terms surpassing in falsity and vehemence the absurd charges brought by the US president and leaders of the other colonial powers and their beholden satellites. For her official role in crimes against humanity in Libya, presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, being relatively still young, has an excellent chance of being indicted for crimes against humanity and genocide under the Nuremberg Principles of International Law, which are part of the Charter of the United Nations and by Article Six of the US Constitution, an integral part of the law of the land. Economists predictions that in twenty-five years the economic power of colonial and neocolonial plundered non-white nations will overtake the economic power of the plundering nations of European origin. US and EU will no longer be able to threaten nations with sanctions, and there will be a plethora of lawsuits demanding compensation, reparations and indemnity for tens of millions of unlawful deaths, hundreds of millions of injuries and the effects of birth defects, mega destruction of property and theft of natural resources brought to the new courts of a restructured United Nations no longer controlled by the US and Europe.
More important than anything else, let the reader, be aware of the incredibly vast information regarding a peaceful and prosperous Libya, that was totally suppressed by Western media. Read on here of a Libya just five weeks before a compliant UN Security Council voted to bomb it, following sanctions and seizures of Libyan assets that were applied within only days of the first reported violence.
We go back to the first week of February 2011, when the UN Quality of Life Index of 2010 had Libya ranked the 53rd highest nation, highest in Africa and ahead of nine European nations (including Russia), a beautiful well-kept Arab Socialist country, where everyone owned their own home, enjoyed free and modern health care, free good education up through PhD, a low infant mortality, the cheapest imaginable gasoline for cars everyone had and free from exploitation as even all wage labor was strictly forbidden in favor of partnerships in the Libyan constitution of a real decentralized democracy in which everyone participated at the local assemblies level where all issues of state concern were discussed before sending delegates to the central assembly of government in Tripoli. Political parties, or gangs of foreign backed profession politicians, were illegal in Libya’s constitution.
[In Libya: From Africa’s Wealthiest Democracy Under Gaddafi to Terrorist Haven After US Intervention by Zimbabwean Garikai Chengu, a fellow at the Du Bois Institute for African Research at Harvard University, Counterpunch, 10/25/2015 writes:
“Contrary to popular belief, Libya, which western media described as “Gaddafi’s military dictatorship”, was in actual fact one of the world’s most democratic States,” and describes this in detail. “Even the New York Times, which was always highly critical of Colonel Gaddafi, conceded that in Libya, the intention was that “everyone is involved in every decision…Tens of thousands of people take part in local committee meetings to discuss issues and vote on everything from foreign treaties to building schools.” CNN, NY Times et al. have never reported that Libya, as opposed to desperately poor Egypt and Yemen had been enjoying a higher standard of living in Africa, and in the UN 2010 Quality of Life Index Libya ranked 53rd, higher than nine European nations including Russia. Rather, Western media continued emphasizing its concocted misnomer ‘Arab Spring’ to describe revolts in poor countries under US and Western banks supported dictators and long-term condemnation of Gaddafi over his four decades of revolutionary leadership of Libya and his funding the movement for African Union as it Chairman.”
For almost as long as Cuba’s Fidel Castro, Gaddafi had been slandered in the world’s monolithic corporate powerful daily news media by innuendo and lies denigrating Gaddafi ever since 1969, when he led the bloodless revolution that replaced a British imposed King with a solid Arab socialist government. The many attempts to assassinate both Castro and Gaddafi are well-known. Using revenue from the oil that had been previously stolen by Britten and France, Gaddafi brought Libya up from the poorest to the most prosperous nation in Africa, and was building the largest Aquifer ever created a great underground river bringing fresh water to Benghazi and greening the desert. Gaddafi had revived Nkruma’s African Union and was funding organizations that were fighting against the genocidal machinations of Europeans to continuing exploitation of Africa through financing tribal strife as the colonial powers have always done. Gaddafi was blocking US military’s AFRICON penetration in North Africa. Gaddafi, whose position officially was Defender of the Revolution, had made himself a greater target of assassination and vilification than Fidel Castro was for the speculative investors in the neocolonial plundering who dominate the planet.
In his 2009 address to the UN General Assembly, Gaddafi, speaking as Chairman of the African Union was the first and only delegate to ever to call for investigation of the UN itself for its role in the horrific loss of lives in Palestine and Korea. He demanded Vietnam, Iraq, and that all bombings, invasions and occupations by US NATO forces must be investigated to seek justice and compensation for victims and survivors. Gaddafi bitterly explained the UN Charter’s provisions were all negated by the domination of a ‘Council of Terror’ (Security Council) controlled by the Colonial Powers. Most dangerous of all, Libya had begun minting part of the 44 billion US$ in gold held in Libya’s State Bank, threatening the US dollar as world currency.
After forty years of building up Gaddafi as a villain and hateful brutal dictator worth assassination even at the cost of a hundred innocent Libyans as in President Reagan’s ordered criminal 1988 airstrike, an abysmally uneducated and diseducated American public and its propagandized allied citizens of Europe, were ready to believe whatever infantile lies US criminal media drummed up.
America’s CIA fed establishment media had little difficulty getting public opinion to accept the pinning the bombing of a Pan Am passenger plane on Gaddafi. The world satellite audience of a CNN-New York Times led media cartel would never question the absurdity that a successful leader of a revolution that had saved tens of thousand of lives in bringing his once colonial impoverished people to have the best living standard in Africa, could have possibly have had any motive to order the mass murder of a plane load of innocent human beings. To accomplish what?
Gaddafi in an unfortunate rush to see lifted the sanctions unjustly put Libyan oil for an unproven accusation, showed an amazing willingness to trust a Western court in a setup arena. The trial, according to highly placed legal authorities observing, was a travesty of justice. The case remains unsolved, as the man convicted died before his second appeal came up. [See US News & World Report 1/2/2009 The Lockerbie Case by Nathan Thrall http://lockerbiecase.blogspot.com] In 2008 a Humanitarian U.S.-Libya Comprehensive Claims Settlement Agreement, which stated that “this agreement is being pursued on a purely humanitarian basis and does not constitute an admission of fault by either party.” Western media brought most of its viewers to believe that Gaddafi had admitted bombing the plane.
Gaddafi had infuriated more than just extremist Arabs in neighboring Arab nations allied with the Western powers by his recent apology to African leaders on behalf of Arab nations for Arab involvement in the African slave trade. “I regret the behavior of the Arabs… They brought African children to North Africa, they made them slaves, they sold them like animals, and they took them as slaves and traded them in a shameful way. I regret and I am ashamed when we remember these practices. I apologize for this,” Gaddafi speaking at the Second Afro-Arab summit in Sirte, Libya, Reuters reported.
Presidential candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders would have had to have had access to all this basic information about Libya and the West’s murderous attempts on Gaddafi’s life. Sanders certainly had to have known of General Wesley Clark revelation in 2007, that the Pentagon had secretly planned back in 2001 to take out seven Middle East countries in five years, starting with Iraq, and then Syria, Lebanon, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and, finishing off, Iran. Sanders would have known of the US history of interventions in ‘civil wars’ created for the purpose of economic and political control starting with Korea, Greece, Congo, Vietnam, Laos, Dominica Republic, Panama, Haiti, Grenada, and all the falsities promoted in corporate media to justify those bombings, invasions and occupations as humanitarian, and that in 2012, presidential candidate Ron Paul had appeared for weeks on prime time news declaring “all US bombings, invasions and occupations starting with Korea have been illegal and unconstitutional.”
Sanders like all of us, would have also read in Western periodicals of US military preparations in expectation of eventual war with China and Russia.
So how to explain socialist presidential candidate Senator Sanders voting for the ‘humanitarian intervention’ blitz on Gaddafi, who Sanders calls a “murderous thug of a dictator” and ignoring that Libya, a member of the UN enjoyed all the rights and protections in the UN Charter.
Does Sanders feel pressure to defend his pro-war on Libya vote? For someone intensely oriented toward understanding a “rigged US economy,” did the economic and political implications of destroying an oil wealthy former African colony escape his thought processes? A week into the bombing he had voted for, articles began appeared analyzing reasons for economic hegemony like Bombing of Libya — Punishment for Gaddafi for His Attempt to Refuse US Dollar, Bortovoi Journal, Russia, 3/26/11.
“China had announced minting of golden yuan and the Eastern countries also discussed the possibility of golden standard. Mummar Gaddafi became the earliest initiator of the idea of refusing dollar and euro and called on Arab and African nations to use a new currency instead, the Persian gold dinar. In 2002 Malaysian prime minister Muhammad together with Mummar Gaddafi proposed initiative to launch golden dinar. At the beginning this idea was approved by Iraq, Sudan and Bruney, next, Indonesia, United Arabian Emirates and other countries joined to it. They began work on this idea. there were some sessions of Ministers of Finance of these countries and the project about refusing from dollar and euro and using golden dinar began to began to come to life. There was a pilot project where golden coins already minted began to be used in Malaysia, Indonesia and Iran. They were even used in common shops and they are still can be used there as well as common banknote money. Once Muammar Gaddafi comes to drop the bank system and start trading only in gold, he will trade only with countries that have gold. (China has almost cornered the gold market?) … A chain reaction would be expected because everyone is tired of being a slave for the USA Federal Reserve and its head Mr. Bernanke. Because Bernanke gives money in debt for USA (Federal Reserve Font gives money to central Bank of USA). If Muamman Gaddafi found time to launch golden coins before the war started, not only muslim countries would follow him. There would be many countries, including maybe even Germany. Everyone in the world who doesn’t want to be a slave of Bernanke wants to trade for gold.
Gaddafi suggested establishing a united African continent, with its 200 million people using this single currency. During the past year, the idea was approved by many Arab countries and most African countries.
If the Gaddafi government goes down, it will be interesting to watch whether the new central bank [created by the rebels in March] joins the BIS, whether the nationalized oil industry gets sold off to investors, and whether education and healthcare continue to be free.”
Meanwhile, as the destruction and dying proceeded according to speculative banking investment necessities, the great sharks were circling in. We get it from the horse’s mouth: World Bank’s Zoellick: Hopes Bank Will Have Role In Libya by Jeffrey Sparshott DOW JONES NEWSWIRES , 4/14/11.
WASHINGTON -(Dow Jones)- “World Bank President Robert Zoellick Thursday said he hopes the institution will have a role rebuilding Libya as it emerges from current unrest.” and Libya – It’s Not About Oil, It’s About Currency & Loans By Anthony Perkins, 4/29/2011
How to explain Sanders repeating establishment created lies except as perhaps political necessity as he incongruously opposes genocidal regime change he voted in favor of in the case of Libya and gives support for US intervention and funding opposition in Syria. Since his campaign is based on stopping establishment maltreatment of Americans, one would expect some mention of the establishment taking the lives of tens of millions overseas, at least decrying the two million deaths of Iraqis that resulted from the US invasion and long deadly occupation he opposed. Being against “the establishment’s rigged US economy ” should Sanders (and Trump as well), for the sake of mercy include at least some questioning the government’s and media charade of the US for real fighting an ISIS that was created to fight US establishment’s designated enemies Syria and the Shiite government of Iraq. Also, honestly missing mention is the illegality implicit in regime change, and even more important lives taken be Americans of people in their own beloved countries, often as not in their own homes. For American hero Rev. Martin Luther King in the name of all morality demanded that these massively more in number innocent lives taken by Americans in their own beloved countries, as often as not in their very own homes, shall be mourned first.
Google the search engines as one will, no substantiation of any crimes by neither Assad nor Gaddafi can be found. and Syria’s so-called civil war that excused open US criminal funding and support to overthrow an elected government, including funding through allies groups like ISIS to fight to remove Assad, who refuses Obama demands to resign, is a copy of the procedures that murdered Gaddafi and ended the free health care with operations abroad when necessary, free quality education through PhD and study abroad when appropriate, free electricity, government sponsored home ownership equity, and the cheapest gasoline imaginable in a nation of direct democracy with gang politics outlawed as well wage labor in favor of obligatory partnerships guaranteed in Libya’s Arab socialist constitution.
It would seem someone fighting for Americans to have free health care and free education would have tempered his words about a Gaddafi who saw to his people receiving for many years what Bernie wants for Americas.

Post Script re All presidential Candidates:
Beyond the theme of this article lies a curious supposition that if one believes in the truth spoken confidentially to a close associate by the last insider aristocratic wealthy US president, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, namely: “You and I know that this government has been owned by a financial element in the centers of power since the days of Andrew Jackson,” then one assumes that this ‘financial element in the centers of power’ has arranged an electoral process in 2016 meant to contest whether in the face of the world economic power shift Eastward and Southward, whether if might make sense to turn away from profitably investing in the cheap labor in the developing economies and accelerating their earlier than otherwise world economic power takeover, and instead turn toward less profitable investment in the growth and strengthening of home economies of the West, i.e. those of the US and Europe.
The last time the criminally wealthy owners of America decided to invest in their home base was between the two world wars during the intentionally propagated ‘Red Scare’ campaign. Investing in America was designed to protect from the possibility of losing everything as the US seethed under the threat of revolution, during the Great Depression. That US owning ‘financial element in the centers of power, was willing to fund some good amount of socialism (instituting Social Security, Unemployment Compensation, Government Works Projects and CCC Camps) by paying over 90% even 94% of all income above $200,000. (Roosevelt had even proposed 100% on income over $25.000 after the Japanese attacked Peal Harbor).
All Roosevelt’s cronies and their banks and corporations had been profitably investing and joint venturing in a prostate Nazi Germany building Hitler’s Wehrmacht from zilch it up world number one Armed Force surpassing Great Britain in five years, in disregard of the Versailles Treaty prohibitions under the excuse of making Nazi Germany only a bulwark against the Soviet Union. This would constitute the most mega profitable investment ever made, since after WW II, the Wall Street owned industrial plant was the one only left standing, making for a single US superpower. Twenty six or seven million Soviet citizens were dead and USSR cities half destroyed.
Could this never before seen election primaries scenario of both a Republican and a Democratic party hopeful seeking to overthrow the establishment and bring investment back into America, be meant to play out as a contest between two factions within that “financial element in the centers of power?” If so, this author and his mentor, former US Attorney General Ramsey, suspects that Bernie Sanders, a socialist, might be less trouble for the financial military industrial complex than maverick independent minded capitalist Donald Trump, whose wealth gives him the power not to kowtow and rather challenge absurd shibboleths of war whoring mainstream public indoctrination. Trump might have to be taken out in the American tradition of individual ‘non-political’ assassins that always has wound up benefiting an important faction of investors in crime. (Remember, what FDR intimated is that people who have trillions of dollars invested whatever, are not about to allow a president to be his own man.)
Bernie Sanders, on the other hand, has dutiful parroted the war media’s outright lies in labeling both mild-mannered MD President Assad of Syria, along with Gaddafi as just as brutal murdering dictators as was CIA darling Saddam Hussein, who with favored nation trading credentials had dutifully invaded and warred against US designated enemy revolutionary Iran for eight genocidal years.
Meanwhile, Hillary Clinton and the pro status quo Republican candidates opposing her are perhaps already an anachronism, i.e., persons with practices that belongs to an earlier time.
