Run by the West in the interests of the West.

Human rights organisation Amnesty International has discredited media reports that Colonel Gaddafi used rape as a weapon of war finding no evidence that any mass rapes took place or war crimes as reported by the mainstream media.

Human rights organisation Amnesty International sent a team to Libya to investigate claims that Colonel Gaddafi was using rape as a weapon of war and bombed civilians, they found no evidence to support the news stories which has been reported as truth in the mainstream media since the middle of February.

According to The Independent (Amnesty questions claim that Gaddafi ordered rape as weapon of war: Patrick Cockburn: Friday, 24 June 2011) the team found no evidence of claims that Gadaffi ordered mass rapes as claimed two weeks ago by prosecutor of the International Criminal Court, Luis Moreno-Ocampo.

Moreno-Ocampo said that they had information about a policy of rape against people who were anti government, and U.S. Secretary of State Hilary Clinton said, “Rape, physical intimidation, sexual harassment, and even so-called ‘virginity tests’ have taken place in countries throughout the region.”

It has been reported today by Sky News that the International Criminal Court (ICC) have issued an arrest warrant for Colonel Gaddafi for crimes against humanity. Crimes that Amnesty International could not find in their investigation.

Donatella Rovera, one of the investigating advisors for Amnesty who has been in Libya for three months, told The Independent, “We have not found any evidence or a single victim of rape or a doctor who knew about somebody being raped.”

Liesel Gerntholtz, head of women’s rights at Human Rights Watch also drew the same conclusions after a similar investigation.

It was found by Rovera that captured Gaddafi soldiers who testified before the international media that they had raped a family gave differing contradictory accounts of the alleged rape when cross examined. It was later discovered that rebel troops had made rape stories up and stories of human rights abuses were exaggerated.

Libyan psychologist, Dr Seham Sergewa who reported that she interviewed 140 rape victims later admitted to Diana Eltahawy, Amnesty International’s specialist on Libya that she was unable to produce any documentary evidence on any of the women she interviewed, and that she had lost contact with all of them since.

Amnesty International also found no evidence of mass killings of civilians by Gaddafi forces or war crimes on the scale that the mainstream media has reported.

It is in fact NATO forces that poses a threat to Libyan civilians using depleted uranium weapons that will have an effect on the health of the Libyan people for years (read Humanitarian intervention from hell: Liberating Libyans with poisoned weapons).

It is in fact NATO that has targeted civilians as revealed by Russian doctors on March 28 in the same article link above. NATO admitted that it was responsible for the deaths of civilians in an air strike but claimed it was due to a weapons system failure.  The Libyan government said that two children died in this weapons system failure along with seven other civilians in a residential area of the capital.

Evidence of ‘ethnic cleansing’ by rebels

Another unreported factor of the Libyan conflict is the fact that the rebels who are being portrayed by the Western media as heroes are involved in what can be described as ‘ethnic cleansing’ against the black inhabitants of Libya.

According to the Wall Street Journal (Libya City Torn by Tribal Feud: Sam Dagher: June 21) rebels are expelling all black Libyans from Misrata. The report states that the rebels see the black Libyans as supporters of Gaddafi.

According to the report some rebel slogans in Misrata and Tawergha, read “the brigade for purging slaves, black skin.” None of this has been reported in the news about the rebels.

NATO are the war criminals here. The evidence supports the case that NATO, not Colonel Gaddafi are slaughtering civilians and committing war crimes but in accordance with the corruption of the international community, the ICC has issued a warrant for the arrest of Colonel Gaddafi. You can rest assure the the ICC will never issue an arrest warrant for a US president, a UK Prime Minister, or any Western leader that is a member of NATO.

The ICC is a corrupt institution now being use by the West to do their will.

The mainstream media will continue parroting the same lies about mass rapes and human rights atrocities committed by Gaddaffi forces.

Another country has been engulfed in a war for greed and power.

  1. George Bush wasn’t doing shit when people in New Orleans was drowning and shit and many of his policies were bullshit anyway, you have no idea how that man ruined our economy, and I’m still mad people voted for him the second time. As for as for me, why are you so worried about me admiring Gaddafi? I admire the things he has done and tried to do for Africa and his people, Just because I admire the man doesn’t mean I think he’s perfect. I’m leaving this alone I don’t want to argue.
